The Massachusetts Gaming Commission adopted rules that Encore Boston Harbor, MGM Springfield and Plainridge Park Casino must meet in anticipation of the resumption of casino operations.

A Treasure Island reopening and Wynn reopening have been announced, despite their seeming opposition to the Governor's phased opening plans.

The MGC voted unanimously to extend the temporary closure of Plainridge Park Casino, Encore Boston Harbor and MGM Springfield until 1 June.

Operating revenues were $953.7 million for the first quarter of 2020, a decrease of 42.3%, or $697.8 million, from $1.65 billion for the first quarter of 2019.

The Massachusetts Gaming Commission voted unanimously today to extend the temporary closures of Encore Boston Harbor, MGM Springfield and Plainridge Park Casino.

The gross gaming revenues for the month of March at Encore Boston Harbor, MGM Springfield and Plainridge Park were less than half of what they made in February.

During a remote meeting on Wednesday, the Massachusetts Gaming Commission voted unanimously to extend the mandatory shutdown of Encore Boston Harbor, MGM Springfield and Plainridge Park Casino due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

As a result of the coronavirus outbreak in the U.S., casinos across the country have announced temporary closures. These resorts will continue to assess the situation over the next two weeks and reevaluate the closures.

The gaming areas will close beginning 5:59 a.m. Sunday, 15 March. All other non-gaming operations will cease beginning midnight on Sunday.

In response to the coronavirus pandemic, the Massachusetts Gaming Commission voted unanimously to temporarily suspend operation at Encore Boston Harbor, MGM Springfield and Plainridge Park Casino.

On 9 April at the Massachusetts resort, Greg Vendetti of Stoneham, Massachusetts, will take on Cleotis Pendarvis of Los Angeles to headline the card.

The resort just outside of Boston will continue its renowned Master Class and wine dinner series with four exceptional events this March.
