Board Members have unanimously approved the one-year renewal of licenses for Detroit’s three commercial casinos: MGM Grand Detroit Casino, MotorCity Casino, and Hollywood Casino at Greektown.

The casinos’ $106.3 million revenue for table games and slots for July 2024 decreased 0.4% when compared to the same month last year, but was 1.7% higher when compared to the previous month, June 2024.

The casinos’ $111. 3 million revenue for table games and slots for the month of May 2024 increased 6.3% when compared to the same month last year.

In April, $107.87 million was generated from table games and slots, 11.8% lower when compared to March 2024.

The three Detroit casinos reported $17.25 million in total retail sports betting handle. Retail sports betting qualified adjusted gross receipts in March were up by 13.2% when compared to March 2023.

February 2024 table games and slot revenue decreased 0.2% when compared to February 2023 revenue but the monthly revenue was 11.6% higher than January 2024.

Online casinos are now live in Rhode Island as Bally’s launched its casino app earlier this week in The Ocean State.

Now accepting reservations for 16 iconic hotel and resort destinations on Marriott.com and the Marriott Bonvoy app, some of the names included at Bellagio, MGM Grand and Aria in Las Vegas.

January's table games and slot revenue decreased 9.1% when compared to January 2023 revenue. January’s monthly revenue was also 15.7% lower than December 2023.

December 2023 table games and slot revenue increased 2.9% when compared to December 2022 revenue. December’s monthly revenue was also 46.6% higher than November 2023.

November 2023 table games and slot revenue decreased 23.9% when compared to November 2022 results. November monthly revenue was 7% lower than October 2023.

October table games and slot revenue, $82.8 million, decreased 18.9% when compared to October 2022 results. October monthly revenue was 18.3% lower than September 2023.

September 2023 table games and slot revenue decreased 0.8% when compared to September 2022 results. September monthly revenue was 4.4% lower than August 2023.

Members from MGM Grand Detroit Casino, Hollywood Casino at Greektown and MotorCity Casino voted 99% “yes” if a strike is deemed necessary by the worker negotiating committee.

The State's Gaming Control Board reported that iGaming gross receipts totaled $152.2 million and gross sports betting receipts totaled $23.2 million.

The three resorts recorded $104.6 million from tables games and slots and $322,186 from retail sports betting.

July table games and slot revenue from the three Detroit casinos increased 4.8% when compared to June 2023 results. July monthly revenue was 0.7% higher than July 2022.

MGM Grand Detroit Casino, Motorcity Casino, and Hollywood Casino at Greektown generated $101.9 million from table games and slots.

Beginning in October, several MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy resorts will be available for booking on Marriott’s digital platforms, with all properties expected to be available by the end of the year.
