The second-biggest World Series of Poker Main Event has seen a field of 8,569 entries cut down to the final 1,286 hopefuls as the money bubble burst in the final minutes of the fifth level on Day 3.

This year's $10,000 Main Event is already the second-largest in the WSOP's 50-year history, trailing only the 2006 Main Event, which had 8,773 entries.

There were 1,915 entries recorded today, bringing the total number to 3,250 through the opening two flights.
