Just 36 of the 6,650 entries remain in the hunt for their quest to be crowned the 2021 World Champion of Poker. That field of 36 will be whittled down to just nine players following today's play.

Following over two years without live-action play, 6,650 players from around the world flocked to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas for the return of the legendary 52nd annual World Series of Poker Main Event.

Week three delivered on excitement with poker legend Phil Hellmuth winning his record-breaking 16th gold bracelet and a stacked faceoff in the final day of the $10,000 Dealer’s Choice Championship.

The additional starts have been slated in response to the easing of international travel restrictions, allowing more opportunity for fully vaccinated international participants to enter.

Another week is in the books at the 2021 World Series of Poker where more than 20 bracelets have already been awarded while the countdown continues for the start of the $10,000 Main Event on 4 November.

Week two of the WSOP delivered some exciting events and game-winning hands, including the debut live iteration of the Flip & Go format and a heart-racing finale in the $1,500 Millionaire Maker event.

Despite the massive field of 5,330 players, Daniel Lazrus collected his second WSOP bracelet this year along with $1 million.

The final table was a stacked affair with two Poker Hall of Famers and a combined 20 bracelets represented, and it was Anthony Zinno claiming victory for $182,872 and the third bracelet of his career.

At the end of all of the stud action, it was Rafael Lebron walking away with a shiny new bracelet and a grand prize of $82,262. He topped starting field of 260 runners, which created a prize pool of $348,435.

The events are underway and the cards are being dealt around Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas for this year’s edition of the World Series of Poker.
