Financier Carl Icahn is once again moving forward with a proposal that would take Stratosphere Corp. completely private.

Harrah's sys the U.S. District Court in Nevada issued an injunction prohibiting Stratosphere Corp. and others from infringing on one of Harrah’s marketing patents.

The company reported net income of $1.4 million, 68 cents a share, on revenues of $33.3 million for Q1 2001, compared with net income of $1.6 million, 80 cents a share, on revenues of $34 million for Q2 2001.

Two Californian television producers won a court order Sept. 29 that allows them to complete filming of a bungee-jumping competition off the Stratosphere hotel-casino tower. A Stratosphere official said the event resumed Wednesday after the hotel-casino cancelled the competition on Tuesday afternoon because of concerns about wind conditions.
