Columbia Sussex Corp. announced Monday the property will be renamed MontBleu in an attempt to capture a theme that mirrors the character of Lake Tahoe.

Caesars Tahoe's new owners are planning to rename and retheme the South Lake Tahoe hotel-casino before the end of the year, the head of Columbia Sussex Corp. said Friday.

Caesars Entertainment Inc. has completed the sale of its Caesars Tahoe casino resort to an affiliate of Columbia Sussex Corporation, a hotel, resort and casino operator based in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, for approximately $45 million.

Caesars Entertainment has it received a request for additional information from the Federal Trade Commission in connection with the planned sale of the Caesars Tahoe casino resort to an affiliate of Columbia Sussex Corporation.

Park Cattle Co., the company that owns the land housing Caesars Tahoe, said Friday it wouldn't exercise an option to purchase the casino's 27.2-acre site.

Caesars Entertainment Inc., reports that Park Cattle Co., the owner of the land on which the Caesars Tahoe casino resort is located, has decided against exercising its right to purchase the northern Nevada property.
