This week’s news has Las Vegas written all over it. The top story comes from the Las Vegas Strip as the operations of The Mirage is being sold by MGM Resorts International to Hard Rock International.

The latest investments to the entertainment facility include a new Poker Room, new Event Center, new FanDuel FanCave, reconfigured High-Limit Room and new electronic gaming tables.

Live! Casino & Hotel Richmond would include a 250,000-square-foot casino; a hotel with 300 guest rooms and 30 suites; and 18 restaurants, bars and entertainment venues.

PGCB reported that revenue from Internet Casino Type Gaming of more than $80.4 million was the highest amount to date eclipsing the previous high set in December 2020 by 11% when revenue was $71,609,260.

Under the order by Governor Tom Wolf today, 12 casinos operating in the Commonwealth will cease all gaming activities and patron entry by tomorrow.

Canadian sports wagering was in the headlines over the last week with legislation being introduced that would permit single-event sports betting in approved provinces.

Some casinos are closing down temporarily again until things are under control and capable of opening back up safely. However, not all doors are closing and even more are planning to open back up.

The $150-million entertainment destination features two-levels with 750 state-of-the-art slots, 30 live-action table games, a FanDuel Sportsbook and a variety of entertainment and food options.

The $150-million resort is the first of two gaming venues scheduled to open in Pennsylvania by The Cordish Companies, with Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia scheduled to open in early 2021.

Due to COVID-19, we didn't get to experience the usual World Series of Poker in Las Vegas that we have become accustomed to over the years. However, that doesn’t mean we will be without the biggest poker event of the year.

Live! Casino Pittsburgh, opening 24 November, will be the first of two gaming properties that The Cordish Companies will open in Pennsylvania over the next several months.

PBR Pittsburgh will open at Live! Casino next year as part of the property's second phase of openings.

Leading up to the 24 November public opening, Live! Casino will host a series of invitation-only private events, including charity nights on 14-15 November to benefit the Westmoreland County Food Bank and Sage’s Army, as well as a ribbon-cutting ceremony on 17 November.
