The basics of EZ Baccarat

EZ Baccarat, an exciting alternative version of the classic baccarat game, has grown in popularity due to its player-friendly rules as well as the chance to cash in on creative side bets. EZ Baccarat is a favorite game of Asian players from around the globe who seek out the game with their favorite avatars, the Dragon 7 and Panda 8.
The game is available on more than 750 tables in 150 casinos in the US, Canada and the Caribbean. EZ Baccarat is a no commission game that is easier for players to play and for dealers to deal. Today, EZ Baccarat is the fastest baccarat game on the market, based on hands per hour.
“After years in the baccarat business, we realized there was a failing in the game: a commission that had to be manually collected after each hand, and this made the game very hard to deal,” said Francisco Tejeda, co-creator of EZ Baccarat, and a long-time casino executive who ran one of the most successful baccarat rooms on the Strip at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino Las Vegas in the early 1990s. “If we could figure out a way of eliminating the commission, we were certain we would have a hit on our hands.”
EZ Baccarat is played exactly as the traditional game with one exception. When you win on the bank you do not pay commission. When the bank wins with a three-card seven, it’s considered a push.
EZ Baccarat also eliminates the 5% commission after every winning bank hand. When the bank wins with a total of 7 consisting of 3 cards, the bank hand is a “push” and the player is not charged a commission.
As for side bets, EZ Baccarat has two options. The Dragon 7 cashes in at 40-to-1 when the bank wins with a total of 7 consisting of 3 cards. The Panda 8, which pays off at 25-to-1, hits when the player wins with a total of 8 consisting of 3 cards.
