Caesars Virginia is a 587,000 square foot casino resort with more than 90,000 square feet of gaming space, including nearly 1,500 slots, 79 live tables, a WSOP poker room and Caesars Sportsbook.

Today, we look at openings, expansions and even a couple of historic closings that have been announced since our last edition.

The multi-Michelin-starred chef and television personality is set to open his first Virginia restaurant with the arrival of Ramsay’s Kitchen at Caesars Virginia later this year.

During July, gaming revenues from Virginia casinos totaled $59.3 million, and $10.7 million in taxes were paid to the Gaming Proceeds Fund.

During May, gaming revenues from Virginia casinos totaled $62.7 million and $11.3 million in taxes were paid to the Gaming Proceeds Fund.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol, Rivers Casino Portsmouth, and Caesars Virginia saw gaming revenues total $51.2 million.

During October, gaming revenues from Virginia casinos totaled $49.6 million and $9.1 million in taxes were paid to the Gaming Proceeds Fund.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol, Rivers Casino Portsmouth, and Caesars Virginia generated $9.9 million in taxes to the Gaming Proceeds Fund.

The Gaming Proceeds Fund received $10.3 million from the three casinos: Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Temporary Bristol, Rivers Casino Portsmouth, and Caesars Virginia.

This edition of casino openings and expansions includes new casinos and several other attractions for guests to look forward to.

By the end of 2024, Virginia will have a new casino in Danville and that process took a step in the right direction earlier this week when ground was broken on the property.

The $650 million Caesars Virginia will include a 500-room hotel and a world-class casino gaming floor with over 1,300 slots, 85 live table games, 24 electronic table games, a WSOP poker room and sportsbook.
