Sports betting, both online and land-based, is legal and regulated in Denmark. It is regulated by the Danish Gambling Authority and is offered by Danske Spil at betting shops and online, alongside many private bookmaking brands that entered the market after 2012 under betting licenses.

Licensed betting operators now pay 28% of GGR in gambling tax (up from 20% before 2021), with additional corporate tax on profits, and must comply with strict responsible-gambling and advertising rules, including a new ban on gambling ads around live sports broadcasts from 2025.
