Beginning today, all bettors in The Bluegrass State can visit up to nine in-person locations to place their legal wagers on a host of sporting events.

This week, Kentucky moved a step closer to sports betting as The Bluegrass State issued licenses for both land-based and online sportsbooks.

Churchill Downs Incorporated announced that the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission has approved temporary licenses for six CDI properties to begin accepting in-person sports wagers on Thursday, 7 September.

The stations will provide guests with an outlet to donate change, cash or vouchers to a featured community or nonprofit partner.

Churchill Downs Incorporated announced today plans to open a new historical racing machine entertainment venue, Derby City Gaming Downtown, in Louisville, Kentucky.

The $76 million expansion includes construction of a hotel, additional gaming positions and expansion of the current amenities at the facility in order to better serve and attract guests.
