New Hampshire Sports Betting
In July 2019, Gov. Sununu signed the bill into law, making sports betting legal in New Hampshire.
Mobile sports betting launched in New Hampshire in December 2019. Wagering on collegiate teams and collegiate games taking place in New Hampshire is prohibited. Sports betting in the state is regulated by the New Hampshire Lottery Commission.
DraftKings is the exclusive sports betting operator in New Hampshire, offering both mobile and retail wagering under an exclusive contract with the New Hampshire Lottery Commission. In February 2026, the NHLC exercised its first two-year extension option, extending the DraftKings agreement through June 30, 2028, with a second two-year extension option available that could keep the arrangement in place through June 30, 2030.
Under the renewed contract terms (effective July 1, 2026), DraftKings continues to share 51% of mobile GGR and 50% of retail GGR with the state; the cap on promotional deductions was raised from 10–15% to 40% of GGR. New Hampshire's exclusive, high-revenue-share model remains one of the most distinctive in the country and has served as a reference point for other states debating lottery-run versus open-market sports betting frameworks.
