Salvadoran Lotteries

Lotería Nacional de Beneficencia de El Salvador operates the lottery in the country. It is a government agency originally created to help generate funds for the hospital of San Salvador and now contributes to many different social programs.

In December 2004, Oberthur Gaming Technologies announced it had made an agreement with Lotería Nacional de Beneficencia de El Salvador for the supply of the lottery’s instant lottery tickets. The contract includes 10 games of 2 million tickets. In May 2005, Oberthur was granted a license to supply 20 million instant lottery tickets. It is now El Salvador's exclusive supplier.
