Vermont Race Wagering

Pari-mutuel betting was legalized in 1961. The state's only track, Green Mountain Park, opened in 1963.

Over the years it offered thoroughbred, harness and dog racing until it closed in 1992.

Vermont State Fair and other small fairs hold horse racing events, however, currently no wagering takes place.
