West Virginia Sports Betting
West Virginia’s first sports wagering app launched in December 2018, when Delaware North unveiled its BetLucky.com online and mobile app for its Wheeling Island and Mardi Gras casinos. But in March 2019, the casinos suspended retail and online sports betting operations because of an issue with their platform provider.
In August 2019, FanDuel and DraftKings entered the mobile sports betting market in West Virginia and in 2021, retail sports betting became available at all five West Virginia casinos and their online platforms.
