Arkansas Sports Betting

Arkansas voters approved retail sports betting in 2018, with Oaklawn launching the first sportsbook in July 2019. In February 2022, the Arkansas Racing Commission approved rules for mobile sports betting, including a 51% revenue-sharing requirement for casinos partnering with third-party operators. Mobile sports betting went live in April 2022.

As of mid-2026, three casino-linked sportsbooks operate in Arkansas: Oaklawn Sports (Hot Springs), Southland's DraftKings-powered app (West Memphis), and BetSaracen (Pine Bluff). The Pope County casino — which would have been the state's fourth — was effectively eliminated by Amendment 104, approved by voters in November 2024.

In February 2026, the Arkansas Racing Commission unanimously approved FanDuel as the technology vendor for Oaklawn's sportsbook and DraftKings as the vendor for Southland's sportsbook. Both platforms launched on March 20, 2026 — FanDuel powering a rebranded 'Oaklawn Sports powered by FanDuel,' and DraftKings replacing the Betly-powered Southland app.

Applicants for the additional two casino licenses must pay an application fee of up to $250,000 for the right to operate casinos, including sportsbook operations.

In February 2022, a legislative subcommittee approved proposed mobile sports betting rules, which include a 51% revenue-sharing model between casinos and third-party operators. The Arkansas Joint Budget Committee approved the mobile sports betting rules and it launched in April 2022.
